Delete your connected social media data

For clients who connected a Facebook Page, Instagram account, LinkedIn page, TikTok account or Google Business Profile to their DV Media social media workspace. Plain steps, no forms to fill in.

What we store when you connect an account

When you connect a social media account to your DV Media workspace, we store the access token the platform issues to us, the account's public id, name and handle, the posts we publish on your behalf, and the performance figures (reach, views, likes, saves, shares, follower counts) the platform reports for those posts. We never store your platform password, and DV Media staff never log in as you.

Disconnect an account

  1. Tell your DV Media social manager which account to disconnect. They open your workspace, go to Accounts and choose Disconnect.
  2. The stored access token for that account is deleted at that moment, and the account can no longer be published to.

You can also remove DV Media on the platform side. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations and remove DV Media Social. Instagram accounts linked to that Page are removed with it. Our stored token stops working immediately, the account is marked as needing reconnection in your workspace, and the token record is deleted when you tell us to remove the account.

Ask us to delete everything

Email compliance@dv-media.co from the email address on your client record, with the name of the account or accounts to remove. Within 7 days we delete the stored access tokens, the connected account records and the per-post performance figures for those accounts, and we confirm by email when it is done.

Published posts stay live on your own accounts, because they belong to you. Delete them on the platform if you want them gone. Invoice and contract records are kept for the period set out in our privacy policy.
