In one paragraph

What is real estate photography?

Real estate photography is professional listing photography that presents a home at its best so it sells or rents faster. In Jeffreys Bay that means three quite different jobs. Canal and waterfront homes at Marina Martinique need the water in frame and the reflections working for you, not against you. Wavecrest and Fountains Estate are family stock where buyers are reading room flow and light. Paradise Beach, Aston Bay and Kabeljauws carry a lot of holiday and rental property, where the shots have to sell a lifestyle as much as a floor plan. We shoot for agents listing on Property24 and Private Property, for developers, and for owners marketing their own holiday lets. As a Jeffreys Bay real estate photographer, DV Media shoots for agents, developers and owners marketing on Property24, Private Property and agency sites.

Shooting in Jeffreys Bay.

What sells here

Surf-town lifestyle, coastal access and value against Cape Town and the Garden Route. Buyers include holiday owners, semigrants and investors buying rental stock, so the frames need to sell the setting, not only the rooms.

Where we shoot

Marina Martinique, Wavecrest, Paradise Beach, Aston Bay, Kabeljauws, Fountains Estate, C-Place, Noorsekloof and Jeffreys Bay Central, plus Humansdorp and Oyster Bay in the wider Kouga district.

Getting there and getting it right

Jeffreys Bay is in the same district as our St Francis Bay base, so it is one of the shortest runs we do and urgent listings are realistic. The wind is the scheduling constraint here, not the light, so exteriors are booked around it rather than hoped through.

FAQ

Common questions.

How does travel to Jeffreys Bay work?

Jeffreys Bay sits in the same Kouga district as our St Francis Bay base, so it is one of the shortest runs we do and we are in the area regularly. Travel is still itemised as a clear line in your quote rather than buried in the package price, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Tell us the address and the date you want to list, and we will confirm coverage and pricing within 24 hours.

Can you shoot a canal home at Marina Martinique?

Yes, and waterfront homes are worth planning rather than shooting on arrival. On a canal property the water is half the sell, so we time the exterior for light that puts detail in the water instead of a flat glare, and we shoot the deck and mooring as part of the story rather than as an afterthought. Interiors facing the canal pick up strong reflected light, which we balance so the room reads true rather than blue.

What about the Jeffreys Bay wind?

It is the real scheduling constraint here, more than cloud or rain. Wind moves plants, water and anything loose on a patio, and it makes drone work unsafe rather than merely difficult. We watch the forecast for the shoot window and will move the exterior or the aerial portion rather than deliver frames with a garden blurred and the pool surface chopped up. Interiors are unaffected, so a windy day rarely costs the whole shoot.

Do you shoot holiday rentals and short-lets, not just sale listings?

Yes. A large share of Paradise Beach, Aston Bay and Marina Martinique stock is let rather than sold, and rental photography has a different brief: it sells nights, so it leans harder on lifestyle, outdoor space and the feeling of arriving. We shoot both, and the deliverable is sized for Airbnb, Booking.com and agency rental pages as well as the sale portals. See our Airbnb and short-let photography page for how that shoot differs.

How quickly can you get there for an urgent listing?

Faster than almost anywhere else we cover, because of the distance. If a seller signs a mandate and wants the listing live, a Jeffreys Bay shoot can usually be fitted in quickly and delivered within 24 hours of the shoot, with rush same-day delivery available at a surcharge. Send the address and your launch date and we will tell you honestly what is possible rather than promising a slot we cannot hold.
