What is DV Media?

DV Media is a South African visual media studio specialising in real estate photography, cinematic property video and architectural imaging across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, the Garden Route and St Francis Bay. Founded by Kyle de Villiers, the studio has shot over 2,500 properties for agencies including Pam Golding, RE/MAX, Harcourts and EXP. Every commission is on-site, every shoot ships in 24–48 hours, and every deliverable is colour-accurate, perspective-corrected and download-ready. The studio works with three audiences: listing agents who need fast, consistent magazine-quality stills; property developers who need launch-grade campaigns and ongoing phase coverage; and architects, interior designers and builders who need publication-ready images for portfolios, awards entries and brand work. DV Media is POPIA-compliant, flies aerial work through SACAA-licensed partner pilots, and offers monthly retainers for agencies shooting eight or more listings a month.

Our story

DV Media exists to do one thing: help South African real estate agents sell more listings, work more efficiently, and upgrade their personal brand. Everything else — the kit, the workflow, the turnaround — is in service of those three outcomes.

The studio started the way most good ones do — with a complaint. Kyle kept seeing listings in South Africa's top agencies let down by photography that didn't match the quality of the properties or the standard of the agents selling them. Phones held at waist level. Colours that didn't match the walls. Exteriors shot at noon with blown-out skies. Listings that wasted the home and embarrassed the brand.

We built DV Media to fix that. Every shoot is on-site. Every frame is captured with a specific commercial outcome in mind: the listing thumbnail that earns the click, the hero image that opens the brochure, the aerial that frames the context, the walkthrough video that closes the showing before it starts, and the social cut that puts the agent's face on the listing — not just the property. Agents who work with us spend less time directing the shoot and more time closing, because they trust what comes back.

Based in St Francis Bay on the Eastern Cape coast, we shoot from the Garden Route across to Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, up to Johannesburg's northern suburbs and along KwaZulu-Natal's coastline — for listing agents, property developers, builders, architects and the brands that serve them.
