In one paragraph

What is real estate photography?

Real estate photography is professional listing photography that presents a home at its best so it sells or rents faster. The Garden Route is treated as one place by tourists and as four or five quite different markets by anyone who sells property on it. Mossel Bay is accessible coastal stock and holiday letting. George is a working town with families, schools and smallholdings. Knysna sells the lagoon and the outlook, with real depth at the top end. Plettenberg Bay is second homes and a December calendar. We run the corridor west from our base in St Francis Bay, which means an agency with mandates in more than one town can have them shot on the same trip, with one consistent look across the whole portal listing set. DV Media shoots the whole corridor for agents, developers and owners marketing on Property24, Private Property and agency sites.

On the ground

Shooting in the Garden Route.

One run, several towns

We work the corridor rather than treating each town as a separate expedition. Listings in Mossel Bay, George, Knysna and Plett can be shot on a single trip, which keeps the travel line in your quote down and gets the whole set onto the portal together.

Where we shoot

Mossel Bay and Hartenbos, George, Herolds Bay and Wilderness, Sedgefield, Knysna, and Plettenberg Bay through to Nature’s Valley. Town pages for each are linked in the footer under areas we shoot.

Four markets, four briefs

Accessible coastal stock in Mossel Bay, family and estate homes in George, lagoon and view property in Knysna, second homes and beachfront in Plett. The standard stays the same, what each listing needs to prove does not.

FAQ

Common questions.

Which Garden Route towns do you cover?

The full corridor. Mossel Bay and Hartenbos at the western end, George with Herolds Bay and Wilderness, Sedgefield, Knysna, and Plettenberg Bay through towards Nature’s Valley. Each town has its own page with the suburbs and estates we work in. If your listing is somewhere between those, tell us the address and we will confirm coverage within 24 hours.

Can you shoot listings in several towns on one trip?

Yes, and it is the sensible way to use us here. We run the corridor west from St Francis Bay rather than treating each town as a separate trip, so an agency with mandates in Knysna and Plett, or George and Mossel Bay, can have them all shot on the same run. It keeps the travel line in your quote down and it means the whole set lands on the portal with one consistent look.

How far ahead should I book a Garden Route run?

For an ordinary week, a few days is usually enough to get a good slot. For the December season, book much earlier. Everything that wants to be live before the holidays is chasing the same few weeks, and that is also when the weather along the coast is least predictable. If you know mandates are coming, hold the date rather than waiting for the sellers to be ready.

Do you charge travel per town or per trip?

Travel is itemised as a clear line in your quote rather than being folded into the package price. Where several listings are shot on the same run, that cost is shared across them rather than charged again for each stop, which is why grouping bookings is worth doing, even across different agents in the same office. Send us the addresses and we will show you the difference in the quote.

Do you work the Garden Route in the December season?

Yes, and it is our busiest stretch on this corridor. The caution is simply that slots go early and the weather is less reliable, so exteriors sometimes have to be moved within the day. Sky replacement is included as standard for the days that will not clear, and twilight is available as an add-on for the hero frame, which is often what a holiday listing is missing.
